Jon Bel Makes Reggae Boyz Debut Against Guatemala


KINGSTON, Jamaica – St Louis City SC defender, Jon Bell, has been given his debut start for the Reggae Boyz after he was named in the starting lineup for Saturday’s friendly international against Guatemala at the Red Bull Arena in New Jersey.

The team that is made up of local and US-based players, will be hoping to extend Jamaica’s good run against the Central Americans who they had beaten 1-0 in the Concacaf Gold Cup earlier this year.

Goalkeeper Jamali Waite has been handed the captain’s arm band and Bell will be joined in the defence by Jamoi Topey, Richard King and Javain Brown.

Tyreek Magee, Deshane Beckford and Ramone Howell are the midfielders with Demario Phillips and Romario Williams the forwards.

This will be the first time Jamaica will be playing at the Red Bull Arena since the friendly international against Argentina last year.

Starting team- Jahmali Waite, Jon Bell, Jamoi Topey, Richard King, Javain Brown, Devon Williams, Ramone Howell, Tyreek Magee, Deshane Beckford, Demario Phillips, Romario Williams.
